Our Fourth Weekend

Bug Bites??????

Do you ever have a week that you wish you could go back and redo? Not just a day, but pretty much the whole week? I do....I went to the dentist twice this week and for me going to the dentist is torture times 2. I had a regular cleaning and of course they found a cavity to fill. I'm not sure I have many teeth left that can have cavities, but the dentist will surely find them! Landon and Delaney have both been on an antibiotic for over a week, but Delaney's runny, gunky nose came back yesterday with a vengeance. Her cough has never really gone away either. We only had one more day for the medicine so I called the doctor to see what to do. When she woke up yesterday morning it looked like she had bug bites on the inside of her legs, but as the day progressed the "bites" spread all over her legs to her arms and stomach. We couldn't get in to see our doctor so we went to the walk-in clinic. The "bites" were welts and guess who is allergic to her antibiotic! She looked so miserable and a few welts had even started on her face. When I put her to bed she started itching her legs and looking at me like aren't you going to fix this? We now have a new antibiotic and a steroid for the hives. Thankfully, today the hives are MUCH better and she doesn't look like she has the plague anymore. One highlight of our week though was Landon's swimming lesson where he got to ride in a canoe and go off the diving board in the deep end! He had his 2 favorite girls come watch him so he was in 7th heaven that night. :) I'm hoping the weekend will be better than our week!

Confession.......

My confession is..........................I love Keith Urban. Does it classify as an obsession if I have lost track of how many times I have seen him in concert? I would go to his concert every year and every chance I get I try. Blake and I went to his concert on Sunday night and it was great! Taylor Swift was with him and I am also a huge fan of hers. However, no one beats Keith. Here are some pictures from the concert I found on a website..... You can never see too many Keith Urbans.

Camping

We went camping on Friday night at church and had a lot of fun! I have realized though that I am not a true camper....I need an air mattress. Landon went on his first hayrack ride and had a lot of fun playing with the other kids that stayed. We hope it becomes an annual event!

Landon entertained everyone around the campfire with his rendition of the song, "I like to move it, move it" from the movie Madagascar and ate enough "white" marshmallows to become one. He didn't want them roasted over the campfire. Delaney didn't spend the night with us in the tent, but went back with my parents to their house. Maybe next year she can stay, but the air mattress is definitely coming with us!

Hot Weekend

This past weekend we spent with my cousins and their kids. Landon and Delaney both had fun playing. Delaney went swimming for the first time!

Even though it looks like she doesn't like it, once she was used to the water she didn't want to get out!

Landon was a little fish and loved that he could actually touch the bottom of this pool!

While we were swimming the guys were busy roofing, I think we definitely got the better end of the deal. :)

Delaney loved this car. She would actually pretend she was driving and would throw a fit if you tried to get her out of it. Cousin Elijah was helping us push her around. :) We all had fun being together even though it was hot, hot, hot!

First Steps!

Delaney took her first steps a little over a week ago and now she is getting brave. She is taking more and more steps at a time!

First T-ball game

Today was Landon's first t-ball game. At first he wasn't so sure, but he soon was having fun! It is hilarious watching the little ones playing ball.
Of course, part of Landon's fun was playing in the dirt and finding rocks on the field. :)
